It was like, "that's it, I quit." I was left heart broken and with nothing to do at work on Monday and Tuesday except bother Monroe. Monroe isn't what you would call "a people-person", if you know what I mean.
I was deperate for my computer. I had emails to read, wedding porn to look at, blogs to read, blogs to write, message boards to post, and oh my god I can't get on FACEBOOK!!!! WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO????
Enter stage left, the most amazing fiance. ever. He took on the daunting task of rigging the cd rom [ because it was broken... oops], then he got a SATA to USB adapter to pull the info off of my hard drive. After all my data was safe [ and by data I mean drunk pictures of me and my friends], he forgmatted the hard drive and did a clean install of windows followed by nit picking through the internet for the correct drivers to get the hardware working well together again then. After all that, he did all the Windows updates.
Didn't understand a word of that? Me either- that's why I copied and pasted it from what he said. But it worked, and that's all that matters. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I sooo won the boyfriend lottery.
So now my computer is working even better. Before I referred to my computer as "Algernon" from Flowers for Algernon and my old desktop was "Charlie. Now that's she's had work done, I feel like she needs a botox-lovin'-stilletto-wearing-diva-like name. So I came up with Sophia.
Glad to meet you/have you back, computer.
For the record, my spelling and grammer really isn't that bad. Had LB told me she was just going to copy/paste my gmail chat beforehand, I would have been a bit more careful. Gmail chat, or IM chat, is a free pass to talk like a moron haha. Just sayin...I am literate.
ReplyDeleteAnyway...glad you are enjoying your computer hun!! xoxoxoxo
