Friday Confessional

Forgive me blogworld, for I have sinned.

It has been.. well, too damn long since my last blog.  Have you noticed that I post twice a month?  The beginning to post Hunter's monthly photo and the end to talk about the fabulous events that I didn't blog about of the month.

I got a text from my pal Shannaigans yesterday to make sure I was still alive.  That's when it hit me: I have been pretty much non-existant on the interwebs.  I can't even tell you the last time I logged into Pinterest!  I haven't commented on other blogs, I have unanswered e-mails and I couldn't even tell you the last time I read a status update from that girl I barely talked to in high school but am now Facebook friends.

Here are my reasons for being an absentee blogger:

This working mom stuff is damn hard.
I am currently planning a bridal shower and Hunter's baptism.
I have discovered Downton Abbey.

Ok, so the big reason is Downton Abbey.  I'm addicted to it.  Any time I have 48 minutes to myself (aka pumping at work) I hunt down an episode online .  Ugh.. Matthew Crawley, I will marry you, even if you are only a middle class solicitor who lives with his mother.  Noms.

But I vow to be a better blogger.  I have a lot of events that I want to talk about, including a fabulous blogger get together, painting my kitchen and dying my couch slipcovers!

...right after I take Hunter's monthly photo.  And post about the fabulous events of the month.  Tee hee.

Always & Forever,
  ME

P.S... this is my 400th post.  What a LAME way to celebrate.

  1. Really? Matthew Crowley? I just want to walk all over him. Give me some Thomas any day of the week. I'm afraid to say any more since I don't know how much you've watched, so I'll just stop the DA talk. But I did tell one of my friends to take it slow...the next season isn't out until next January (I think).

Anywho, glad to know you're alive and kicking and doing productive things. I can't wait to see your kitchen, the difference is going to be ha-uge!

  2. I fell in love with Hovas today (after thinking I wanted Ektorp, typical) so I can't wait to read your post about dying the cover!

  3. Happy 400th posts! You need to watch an episode of Downtown Abbey to celebrate! I haven't checked it out yet, but while I was pumping, I would watch Gossip Girl. Terrible goodness all around!

  4. Shannon - are you serious about Thomas. Um. Ick.

Missed you round these parts, but I also have no judgement because Downton Abbey is kind of the bomb.

  5. Downton Abbey!!! Love it! Too much -- I and the females in my immediate family are completely obsessed with that show ever since we first saw it.

Don't apologize for the lack of blogging. We are here like old friends waiting for you whenever. Plus I wrote a total of 11 posts (estimating, not actually taking the time to look it up) in the past two months.
