Happy Valentine's Day!
I know I'm a couple days late, but, um.. deal with it ;-)
I hope everyone had a good holiday. JEGs and I don't make a big deal out of Valentine's Day. No ridiculous presents or extravagant dinner plans- that's not our style. We just like to spend the day together.
This year I started the day out by making blueberry pancakes. I tried to spell out L-O-V-E with some cookie cutters, but as you can see, the E looks more like an I. Oops.
After enjoying our Sunday morning coffee, JEGs let me drag him around to a few open houses. No, we are quite ready to turn in the keys to Falconhead yet, but we have started to casually browse the local real estate. Since neither of us is from to the Norristown area, we figured we would start now to get to know which neighborhoods we liked and what we didn't like. We've still got plenty of time though.
JEGs made us a delish dinner of spaghetti and turkey meatballs, and after that we participated in our favorite activity- cuddling on the couch with the TV on. Whew.. can you handle all this wildness? When I said I wanted to grow old with him, I didn't realize it was going to be at the ripe old age of 28.
I am really excited to announce that my friend Meg got engaged on Sunday though! We were just talking a few weeks ago about a pending engagement for her, and she totally blew it off as if it might not happen for a while. If you've been following along, this now brings the engagement count to 7.
Sooo, how did you all spend Valentine's Day? A sleepy Sunday with your lover, or all the roses and frills of the holiday?
Always & Forever,
ME

The Captain and I had a romantic day of moving furniture at my parent's house. Then we argued with my dad about the location of the TV in conjunction with the distance from the couch. Oh and my mom made Cornish Hens for dinner because she thought they were romantic. haha. I seemed to have forgotten the sexiest part of the day.......I did a massive amount of laundry too!
For our "Valentine's Day" date he agreed to take me to see Alice in Wonderland IMAX 3D. I just have to promise him I won't get car sick. I'll have to cross my fingers behind my back on that one.
Cute, cute!
Don't blueberries in pancakes make it taste so much better?!
say...did you do something new here? Your blog looks different.
Seems like a lot of people just took it easy this Valentine's Day. Very cute idea with the pancakes.
We never do anything big for valentines day. However this year, I not only got Panera takeout on the couch but we also bought a new camera and used v-day as our excuse.
please make me pancakes. now.
