I'mma Do it My Damn Self.

As I am closing in on the three month mark for the wedding, I need start turning my attention to my favorite part: the DIY details.

Here is what is on my TODO list:

1. Table Numbers.

We are naming all of our tables after towns in Long Beach Island, NJ (where we got engaged). I am still debating on whether I should put the table names in frames, or have them sit on a silver perch as pictured above. Ideas??

2. Escort Cards

No, I'm not giving my guest an escort for the night. Swears. Escort cards are those little cards with you names and table assignment listed. I love the embossed birds pictured above. They will match my invitations perfectly. And how sweet is the tag with the ribbon?
3. Pomanders aka "Kissing Balls"

I fell in love with these while surfing TheKnot for wedding porn. I want to line the aisles with shepherds hooks and have these darling balls hand from each. I am thinking I will do a blue ribbon, but I am debating between white roses or white hydrengea. Thoughts??

4.Parasol

I love the idea of using these parasols for photos. I have seen many people get pictures add these photos into their 'thank you' cards after the wedding. Now, should ours say Thank You or Just Married? Hmm... decisions, decision...

5. Programs.

We are having an outdoor ceremony in July. Having our programs double as fans was a no-brainer. The first picture features fans that have word puzzles on the back to keep guest entertained before the ceremony starts. The second picture is a simple fold out fan. I am torn between the two- the first fan is fun, but will my guest being Soduko-ing during my vows? That turns me off to the idea a little.

So many projects and only three months left-- I've got to get crackin!
Always & Forever,
Me

I fell in LOVE with rose pomanders too when we had our wedding. They are sooo expensive to have a florist make. Maybe hydrengeas would be cheaper and fuller so it would take fewer? FYI: Our florist wanted $132 for each softball-sized rose pomander. Wow wow wow. It didn't fit into the budget since we wanted 18. Good luck with the rest of the process!

Lovely ideas!! I love those embossed escort cards. I'm also thinking of using pomanders for the church. I'm thinking of DIYing them with tissue paper flowers. We'll see how it goes!
